Chemical peeling
Chemical peeling is the procedure of removing the upper layers of the skin, usually on the face.
This procedure is effective against:
- acne
- hyperpigmentation
- scars (postakne)
- fine wrinkles
- skin irregularities
- enlarged pores
Thanks to the removal of the horny layer, the chemical peel stimulates collagen synthesis, which tones and renews the skin and restores young and healthy appearance.
The term chemical peeling refers to the process of removing the top layers and subsequent physiological renewal of the skin thanks to the acceleration of its natural peeling, which is achieved with the help of selected chemical substances.
Chemical peeling is used to renew the skin on the face, but it is also possible to treat other parts of the body, such as the neck, hands, décolleté.
Chemical peeling varies according to the intensity of the effect on the skin, we distinguish between deep, medium and superficial. Depending on the skin type and the desired result, the dermatologist chooses the depth of action for each patient individually. Various types of acids are used for chemical peeling, such as fruit acid (AHA), glycolic acid, lactic acid or azelaic acid. This procedure is equally effective at any age and is suitable for any skin type. The only difference is the concentration and type of acids used.
The recommended amount of procedures is 5-10 sessions.
The recommended frequency of procedures is 1-4 times a month.
