Laser growths removal
At our clinic, we use a high-performance fractional SmartXide2 CO2 laser to remove skin growths
Over time, you may develop skin growths that are not medically disturbing, but are definitely not aesthetically pleasing. These include birthmarks, various soft skin growths attached to the skin by the stalk, seborrheic scaly keratoses, sebaceous hyperplasia, or milia, which are small cysts that most often appear as small white bumps on the face. Your dermatologist can treat these growths using various techniques, we use mostly laser.

How laser growths are performed
The laser produces a very strong light beam that precisely targets a specific nevi (growth) without damaging the surrounding tissue. The action of the laser gradually evaporates the individual layers of the skin. The laser has excellent coagulation properties, so there is no bleeding. The procedure is usually not painful, for more sensitive people an anesthetic cream can be used.
Before the procedure
Before each dermatological procedure, a personal consultation and, in the case of growths, an analysis with a digital dermatoscope are necessary to rule out melanoma or another problem.
Regeneration
The great advantage of laser growth removal is the minimal reduction of daily activities. However, it is always necessary to follow the recommendations of the dermatologist: person is forbidden to visit to the pool, sauna or sports, where he/she can sweat, for about 1 week after the procedure. The treated area must be protected from the sun.

Laser used
At our clinic, the procedure is performed with a SmartXide2 CO2 laser from the Italian manufacturer DEKA.
The SmartXide2 system is a real innovation and the only platform on the market that is equipped with CO2 and diode lasers, which allows use in many medical fields.
This is the result of the development of the RF CO2 laser source, which is equipped with the unique PSD® (Pulse Shape Design) technology.
Because it uses the synergistic effects of a CO2 laser and a radio frequency (RF) wave source, the innovative HiScan DOT / RF can reach all layers of the skin.
SmartXide2 DOT / RF eliminates the risk of PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation).
The SmartXide Dot laser penetrates the upper layer of the dermis, which is the supporting layer of our skin, containing most of the collagen found in the skin. SmartXide Dot targets the water in these tissues and then the tissue is removed inside the laser dot. Each dot of the laser is surrounded by space, and this allows for thermal damage to the tissue. This thermal damage is responsible for the excellent results that can be seen with CO2 lasers.
The SmartXide Dot laser is set up for different types of treatment with maximum benefit for the patient. Superficial problems, such as pigment-related diseases or mild wrinkles, are treated with dots close together. Depth problems, such as scars or more pronounced skin folds, are treated with greater dot spacing, reduced total number of dots, greater depth, and longer intervals.
Collagen shrinkage due to thermal damage results in immediate skin tightening. Importantly, however, about a month after treatment, there is a further improvement in skin firmness and collagen density due to collagen remodeling. These improvements can take up to one year.

Laser removal of warts
Plantar warts are removed mainly for aesthetic reasons. It forms on any part of the body, which can be unpleasant but not dangerous. Their disadvantage is that they can multiply and then it is more difficult to get rid of them. The simplest solution is laser treatment, which is an effective and for many patients the simplest way of removal.
Laser hemangioma removal
Hemangioma is a congenital benign tumor of vascular tissue. The energy of the laser passes through the skin and is preferentially absorbed by the hemoglobin in the vessels within the vascular lesion or hemangioma. The heat from the laser destroys the blood vessels without damaging the surrounding tissue.
Laser removal of birthmarks
Before each removal of the birthmarks, it is always necessary to examine the mark with a dermatoscope in order to exclude a suspicious unit that is sent to histology. The removal of the mark itself takes place with a suitable laser, the precisely aimed beam of which grinds the pigment of the mark into small particles, which are then washed away naturally from the body.
